How to Choose the Right Case

Small cases such as Mini-ITX provide a space-saving solution but allow fewer expansion options, while full tower models offer maximum flexibility with room for advanced cooling solutions and powerful hardware. Key Specifications to Consider in a Case

When selecting cases for your assortment or customer solutions, you should particularly consider size, form factor, PSU compatibility, and visual design. Design also plays an important role, especially if the end user wants RGB lighting or a transparent case that highlights the components. 

Size

The size of the case determines whether there is enough room for all components. Efficient cooling systems such as water cooling usually require larger models, e.g. full towers, which provide plenty of room for both cooling and future upgrades. 

Form Factor

The form factor determines compatibility with the motherboard. An ATX motherboard requires an ATX or larger case, while some models support multiple form factors for flexibility in future upgrades. 

PSU/Power Supply

Some cases come with a built-in PSU, which can be convenient for simpler builds. However, for powerful graphics cards and processors, cases where the PSU is chosen separately are recommended, so the power supply can match the system’s requirements.
