At DCS ApS, we are aware that we have a social and environmental responsibility, and on this page, you can read a little more about some of the initiatives that shape our development toward a fundamental idea that can be summed up as: DCS ApS - a responsible company.

Environmental Responsibility

As an IT distributor, we have an unavoidable environmental footprint, which we try to compensate for as much as possible.

This includes the following points.

• Packaging: At DCS ApS, we use recyclable packaging and reuse packing materials as much as possible. When that's not possible, we use packaging sourced from forests where no more trees are felled than the forest can regenerate, and where animal life, plant life, and employees in the forests are protected by secure measures.
• Used IT: We support initiatives where used IT is recycled as an alternative to new products. The starting point is always that our customers get the right product - so we don't consider used for the sake of it. Our customers' satisfaction and needs always come first.
• Buildings: Our headquarters in Trige, north of Aarhus, uses LED lighting, wireless, and centrally controlled thermostats that reduce energy consumption for heating by 23%, and we use heat generated by our internal servers to heat our warehouse as much as possible.
• Electronic Waste: We comply with all applicable environmental regulations for handling electronic waste and obsolete products - and we encourage all our customers to do the same.

Social Responsibility

It's no secret that DCS ApS takes social responsibility. In fact, we have always had socially disadvantaged employees working in various roles within our organization. This includes employees who, for various reasons, can only work part-time or with special considerations, or employees who are at risk of being "lost" to the labor market or who have perhaps been outside the workforce for years. Our long experience with socially disadvantaged employees means that we are good at managing people with various diagnoses.

Additionally, it is an integral part of our work with new product categories, manufacturers, and suppliers that we check on environmental and social responsibility issues with our partners.

Ongoing work toward increased accountability and sustainability

At DCS ApS, we are constantly working to improve our status as a responsible company that is aware of its role in society and the potential negative impacts on stakeholders and society that we might have.

Our CSR initiatives have not been driven by a formal policy, but rather by an ongoing effort toward the core idea of: DCS ApS - a responsible company.
