The U328-025 features a bus-powered signalbooster (no external power source required) in the middle of the cable thatextends the range of the USB signal, allowing you to overcome the typical 16-footlimitation. This allows USB peripheral devices, such as printers, scanners andcard readers, to be located up to 25 feet from the host computer with no lossin signal quality. The U328-025 also provides 250mA of power to a connecteddevice. If a device requires more than 250mA of power, it will either need tohave its own power supply or be plugged into a powered USB 3.0 hub (Tripp Litemodel U360-004-R, sold separately).
