NVIDIA is launching the RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti models, potentially the most important NVIDIA card series to date due to the low price and strong efficiency. Such an affordable price point makes them accessible to far more users than, for example, an RTX 5090, which comes at a significantly higher cost.
This new series is considered a direct competitor to AMD’s Radeon RX 7600 and RX 7700 XT.
With the latest graphics card technology, you get sharp ray tracing, integrated AI processing units, the clever Reflex 2, and DLSS 4.
As always, NVIDIA cards are compatible with NVIDIA G-Sync and the entire NVIDIA ecosystem.
Launched on April 16, 2025 and available in both an 8GB VRAM version and a 16GB VRAM version.
The RTX 5060 Ti is built on the BlackWell architecture and is designed to deliver high FPS in games up to 1440p resolution, with support for DLSS 4 and MFG. With enhanced ray tracing and Reflex 2, it's a card well-suited for streamers, gamers, and demanding users working with graphic design.
The 5060 Ti includes PCIe 5.0 and DP 2.1, ensuring future compatibility.
The card will not be released as a Founders Edition and will instead be produced by partners such as ASUS, MSI, GigaByte, and PNY.
Official release on May 19, 2025
According to NVIDIA, the RTX 5060 will launch on May 19, 2025, expected in an 8GB VRAM version priced lower than the 5060 Ti.
Like the 5060 Ti, the RTX 5060 is built on the new BlackWell architecture featuring a 5 nm chipset.
The RTX 5060 series is based on the new NVIDIA BlackWell architecture, which offers higher performance per watt, reflected in high FPS despite a lower TDP.
Key features of the BlackWell architecture:
The new RTX 5060 cards come with several improvements over the previous Ada Lovelace architecture used in the RTX 4060 series.
The RTX 5060 includes 5th generation Tensor Cores for better AI inference and faster DLSS. Additionally, the 5060 features the latest DLSS and VRAM technologies.
With improved power management and double bandwidth on PCIe slots, the GPU achieves better and faster interaction with the CPU.
Finally, you get the market’s sharpest ray tracing with 4th generation RT cores.
